Special Transperth arrangements for Easter
Transperth spokesman David Hynes said passengers should plan ahead if they intended to use public transport over Easter.
“Because Easter is always a very quiet time on our system, we tend to schedule necessary maintenance over the weekend,” Mr Hynes said.
“This year our teams will be carrying out work on the Armadale/Thornlie Line from 8pm on Thursday April 14 until first service on Tuesday April 18.
“This will enable important works related to the construction of Stadium Station.
“Trains will be running in both directions between Cannington and Armadale, but the rest of the lines will be serviced by buses for the entirety of the closure.
“Note that surfboards and bicycles are not permitted on Transperth buses - including replacement services.”
There will be no CATs on Good Friday and trains, buses and the Transperth ferry will operate a public holiday timetable.
On the Saturday and Sunday (April 15 and 16), all trains, buses and ferries will operate on their normal Saturday and Sunday timetables, and on Easter Monday (April 17) they will run on a Sunday/public holiday timetable, but Joondalup CATs will not be running.
