Project overview

The Stirling Bus Interchange, adjoining Stirling Station and the Mitchell Freeway will undergo a $90 million upgrade.

The project includes upgrading the existing 18-stand facility to a 30-stand bus interchange, along with the construction of a new pedestrian concourse between Stirling Station and the southern car park.

The Stirling Bus Interchange works will be undertaken by Main Roads as part of the Stephenson Avenue Extension Project. Further details on the project can be found on the Main Roads website.

Construction Impacts

Southern car park disruption

As part of the upgrade to the Stirling Station bus interchange, the southern car park is being upgraded to improve access and movements through the car park.

To allow for these works the southern car park and the motorbike shelter will be completely closed from February 5 to safely facilitate construction works.

During this closure alternative temporary parking will be provided for Transperth passengers at 3 Tassels Place and 7 Sunray Drive.

ACROD bays, short-term parking, and drop off/pick up bays will remain accessible in the eastern section of the southern car park.

Once the works are complete, access to the southern station car park will be via Cedric Street and the new Stephenson Avenue.
