Project overview

The Stirling Bus Interchange, adjoining Stirling Station and the Mitchell Freeway will undergo a $90 million upgrade.

The project includes upgrading the existing 18-stand facility to a 30-stand bus interchange, along with the construction of a new pedestrian concourse between Stirling Station and the southern car park.

The Stirling Bus Interchange works will be undertaken by Main Roads as part of the Stephenson Avenue Extension Project. Further details on the project can be found on the Main Roads website.

Construction Impacts

Southern car park disruption

To allow for upgrades, the southern car park will be temporarily closed from September 2024 to safely facilitate construction works. The upgrade will include changes to access and improve the way car park users navigate through the car park and to the station.

Alternative temporary parking will be provided for Transperth passengers, further details on this will be available closer to the closure.

ACROD parking bays, short-term parking, and drop off/pick up bays will remain accessible and be relocated in the eastern section of the southern car park during works.

There will be no disruption to the northern car park.
