Stirling Bus Interchange

The Stirling Bus Interchange, adjoining Stirling Station and the Mitchell Freeway will undergo a $90 million upgrade.

The project includes upgrading the existing 18-stand facility to a 30-stand bus interchange, along with the construction of a new pedestrian concourse between Stirling Station and the southern car park.

The Stirling Bus Interchange works will be undertaken by Main Roads as part of the Stephenson Avenue Extension Project. Further details on the project can be found on the Main Roads website.

Southern car park opening

A section of the southern car park will open on Saturday 13 December following upgrades completed by the Stephenson Avenue Extension Project.

Access to the southern car park will be the new Stephenson Avenue with a left turn exit only. Please follow signage in the area and exercise caution when accessing the car parks at Stirling Station.

Transperth parking charges will apply when parking in the southern car park.

ACROD parking bays, short-term parking, and drop off/pick up bays will remain accessible in the eastern section of the southern car park.

Temporary parking will continue to be provided west of the station at 3 tassels place until 2026. The temporary parking at 7 sunray drive will be permanently closed on 13 december 2025. please allow for additional travel time to Stirling Station. 

Northern car park pedestrian access change

Pedestrian access from the northern and temporary car parks is changing due to Cedric Street westbound closure between Stephson Ave and Ellen Stirling.

The second phase of the southern car park is anticipated to open in 2026.

There will be no disruption to the bike shelter.
