Daglish Turnback Improvements

The Daglish Turnback Improvements project delivers upgrades to turnback infrastructure west of Daglish Station.

While the existing turnback facility has the track layout to enable turnback operations including tracks, switches and signalling systems, additional facilities are introduced to support the more frequent service operations following the opening of the Ellenbrook Line in December 2024. 

Works are underway to install a driver toilet, an illuminated driver walkway with handrails, upgraded perimeter palisade fencing, an expansion of the CCTV system, and upgrades to the stop bollard and signage.

Where possible, works are delivered during standard hours between 7am and 7pm Monday to Saturday. However, due to the location within the active rail reserve, it is necessary to undertake some of the works during the period of time at night where trains are not operating. 

Day works

Intermittent daytime fencing works are expected to continue until late February, at which point the project will be complete.

Night works

Where possible, works take place during pre-planned rail closures for maintenance activities to keep passenger disruptions to a minimum.

Works: Installation of light shields, lux level testing.

Impacts: Works involve hand tools only and noise impacts to the community are not anticipated. Some intermittent light spill may occur.
