Starting Monday, 14 April 2025 the southern Transperth car park along Railway Road is closed to passengers to accommodate site offices and storage of materials and equipment. The car park will re-open prior to the start of the Perth Royal Show on 27 September 2025.
Where possible, works are delivered during standard hours between 7am and 7pm Monday to Saturday. However, due to the location within the active rail reserve, it is necessary to undertake some of the works during the period of time at night where trains are not operating.
Day works
Day works predominantly take place between the existing tracks and temporary site boundary fences west of Daglish Station. Works include the use of machinery such as excavators and trucks and may require traffic management (including on the Principal Shared Path).
Night works
All night works follow approved noise management plans, and every effort is made to keep noise to a minimum. Where possible, works take place during pre-planned rail closures for maintenance activities to keep passenger disruptions to a minimum.
