Transwa

Our Transwa division operates regional rail and coach passenger services to more than 240 locations in the State

Transwa is bringing WA closer by providing a customer-focussed, safe and cost-effective transport service that connects regional towns across the State.

Coach services in regional WA

Transwa road coaches service more than 240 regional WA locations spread across 29 routes, and operates 132 separate coach services a week.

The network extends to Kalbarri, Geraldton and Meekatharra in the north, Augusta, Pemberton and Albany in the south-west and Esperance in the south-east.

There were more than 143,000 Transwa coach boardings in the 2020-21 financial year.

Train services in regional WA

Transwa operates 62 scheduled rail services every week across four routes:

  • The Australind provides two daily return services between Perth and Bunbury.
  • The Prospector provides a daily return service between Perth and Kalgoorlie, and an additional service on Mondays and Fridays.
  • The AvonLink provides one return service each weekday between Northam and Midland (except public holidays).
  • The MerredinLink operates one return service on Monday, Wednesday and Friday between Perth and Merredin .

There were more than 150,000 Transwa rail boardings in the 2020-21 financial year.
