The State Emergency Management Plans (WestPlans) enable the Western Australian Government to prevent, prepare for, respond to and recover from all different types of emergencies in the State.

The PTA prepares and maintains the Westplan PTA Rail Crash. The aim of this plan is to detail the emergency management arrangements for rail crashes within our network in accordance with the Emergency Management Act 2005 and Emergency Management Regulations 2006.

The State Emergency Management Committee is the body with overall responsibility for emergency planning.

The State’s Westplans can be accessed at any time via the State Emergency Management Committee website.

The PTA acknowledges Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and recognises acknowledges Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and recognises the continuing connection to lands, waters and communities. We pay our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past and present.
