Prospector services impacted by derailment

The Prospector train between Kalgoorlie and Perth has been replaced with coaches due to a freight train derailment near Coolgardie.

Prospector services in both directions (Kalgoorlie to Perth and Perth to Kalgoorlie) will be replaced by coaches today, (Thursday May 15) and tomorrow, (Friday May 16) and possibly over the weekend.

The replacement coach services will stay in place until the damage to the line from the derailment has been fixed.

There is no impact on the AvonLink.

It is not clear how long the line will remain closed – passengers booked on the affected services have been notified and we will provide further information as soon as it becomes available.
