Work will soon begin to retile a number of train stations across the Transperth network. The project will include the retiling of floor and wall tiles at multiple stations to ensure they meet the new non-slip safety requirements. The work is expected to take approximately 12 months to complete.
Signage will be in place to safely direct passengers around the work site during construction. While every effort will be made to minimise impact, there might be some disruptions such as noise, dust and vibrations.
Toilet access
The works will also include retiling of toilets within the affected stations. Most of the stations in the program of works have a third toilet that will be available for use while the male / female toilets are being retiled. Stations with only two toilet facilities will have a portable toilet provided during the works.
Accessibility
Mobility or vision impaired passengers can call 1800 800 022 at least an hour before they travel if they require special assistance.
