Joondalup train services to be disrupted today

Full train services are not expected to resume on the Joondalup Line before Friday morning.

Trains in both directions were disrupted from about 7.45am when the overhead power line was broken north of Stirling Station after becoming tangled in the pantograph of a Perth-bound train.

Power has now been restored to most of the line, but the damaged cable is still being repaired.

Trains are running between Clarkson and Whitfords, and between Stirling and Perth.  Replacement buses will operate between Stirling and Whitfords until the damaged cable is repaired.

Commuters should allow extra travel time or consider alternative travel arrangements.
