The Liberal-National Government will add more than 15 million service kilometres and extra 158 buses to the State’s transport system in the biggest boost to bus services in Western Australia in more than a decade.
Western Australia’s public rail transport system will expand to cater for an extra 8,400 people with the State Government’s investment of $164million to buy 45 new rail cars.

The Liberal-National Government will spend $1.2billion in 2011-12 to improve the State’s roads; almost $5billion in the next four years for public transport initiatives, including 45 new railcars; and fund the biggest ever increase in bus service kilometres in more than a decade.
The Perth City Link project reached a major milestone today as demolition commenced at the old Perth Entertainment Centre and the State Government announced its commitment to the development plans for the site.
