Key CAT bus stops closed due to works
Four CAT bus stops directly outside the main entrance to Perth Station will be closed from Sunday March 14 because of City of Perth works at Forrest Place.
Passengers will not be able to board or disembark at Yellow CAT bus stops 14 and 24 and Red CAT stops 15 and 31, and Transperth bus stop 12902 for the duration of the works.
These stops cannot be relocated due to road layouts and proximity to other stops, though the Perth Underground stops (#16) for both the Red and Blue CATs will move south along William Street temporarily to facilitate work on Raine Square.
Several Transperth school specials are affected by the Wellington Street work – the 790 and 791 morning buses to Trinity College and the 789 to Mercedes College will not stop at bus stop 12902, and the afternoon bus (792) will not stop at the Red/Yellow CAT stops 15/14.
Pedestrian access to the main entrance of Perth station will be restricted. Passengers leaving the station from the main entrance will only be able to travel east along Wellington Street towards William Street.
The station taxi rank and Australind passenger set down area have also been closed to allow the works to proceed.
