PTA Educate (previously Get on Board and Right Track) is the Public Transport Authority’s (PTA) community education program designed to promote safer travel and build confidence in using public transport. The program engages schools, workplaces, seniors, individuals with disabilities, and at-risk youth through tailored education initiatives and resources.
Our goal is to help people understand the rights and responsibilities of all passengers, encourage positive choices, and foster respect within the transport network. PTA Educate uses a human-centred approach, consulting with communities and stakeholders to ensure programs reflect real needs and deliver meaningful outcomes. This includes co-designing strategies with young people, reviewing best practice, and using data-driven insights to continuously improve.
Through interactive education sessions, online resources, and community events, PTA Educate empowers individuals to travel safely and confidently while supporting the PTA’s broader commitment to accessibility, inclusion, and safety.
Why Choose PTA Educate?
- PTA Educate works with students, at-risk youth, people with disability, and culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) communities and seniors to ensure equitable access and engagement.
- Public transport is a real-life topic that engages and challenges students across multiple learning areas.
- Our program develops knowledge, skills, and attitudes to support safe and informed travel decisions.
- Lessons are mapped to the Western Australian Curriculum and can be easily integrated into existing programs for strong cross-curricular outcomes.
- We mentor and educate young people on the positive roles they can play in their community, promoting safety and inclusion.
