Youth Engagement
PTA Educate focuses on safer travel and empowering young passengers to take responsibility for their own safety and make positive choices. The program helps young people understand the code of behaviour for public transport by exploring the rights and responsibilities of all passengers.
Through youth engagement activities, and a school education program endorsed by the School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA) we aim to mentor and educate young people on positive roles they can play in the community.
We remain committed to a human-centred design approach, listening to what youth have to say about public transport use, risk taking and the impact actions have to provide safe travel for everyone, continuously consulting with young people on issues that affect them, designing programs and approaches that best address these issues.
