Ed Sheeran transport wrap

Transperth cleared the stadium precinct after tonight’s Ed Sheeran concert in 60 minutes.

This followed earlier warnings that it could take up to two hours to clear due to the unfinished pedestrian bridge designed to move 25 per cent of a capacity crowd away from the venue.

Transperth had a big security and customer service presence to help manage the crowds.

All train platforms took a steady flow of big crowds but cleared quickly and efficiently.

The flow of passengers was stopped on a couple of occasions to allow platforms to clear. This is part of standard crowd management procedures.

The bus station cleared in 45 minutes.

Earlier in the day, shuttle trains from Perth Station and shuttle buses from Elizabeth Quay were heavily patronised but flowed smoothly.
