Cockburn Central parking area to close

One of Transperth’s Park ‘n’ Ride areas at Cockburn Central Station closes this week after the Public Transport Authority was unsuccessful in negotiating an extension of the lease with the private owner of the land.

The area, which contains 155 marked bays, will be closed to commuters from midnight tonight (Friday June 29).

The 155 bays are in a fenced area south-east of the station, close to Armadale Road, and are accessed off Knock Place.

However, a big new area is opening soon – a 470-bay car park, also off Knock Place but much closer to the station, is expected to open on July 14.
