Bassendean Station upgrade and revitalisation of Old Perth Road
Removal of old Guildford Road/Bassendean Station overpass 18 - 21 June 2004
The old Guildford Road/ Bassendean Station overpass will be removed this weekend to enable the Town of Bassendean and Main Roads to complete work to open Old Perth Road on to Guildford Road as part of the revitalisation of the Old Perth Road precinct.
Access to the Bassendean bus facility and Guildford Road will be restricted during this work.
Restricted access to Bassendean bus facility 18 - 19 June 2004
Bus services that usually stop at the Bassendean bus facility will stop in Railway Parade at the Perth end of the facility (at the old bus stops in Railway Parade) from 7.00am Friday 18 June until 6.00am Saturday 19 June.
This also includes rail replacement bus services that will be operating from 7.30pm Friday 18 June.
There will be no change to service timetables.
All bus services will resume operation from the Bassendean bus facility as of 6.00am on Saturday 19 June.
Restricted access to Guildford Road 19 June 2004
Guildford Road from Wilson Street to Kenny Street will be closed to traffic from 6.00am until 5.00pm Saturday 19 June.
During this period, traffic will be diverted via Wilson and Palmerston Streets.
Pedestrians access will also be restricted around the site. Pedestrians are asked to cross Guildford Road at Kenny Street to access the new overpass during this work.
Midland Line train services will be disrupted during the weekend.
