  • Construction of Bellevue METRONET Railcar Facility now complete and handed to operator Alstom Australia
  • 246 METRONET railcars and six new Australind railcars will be built by more than 200 local workers
  • First of nine METRONET projects now complete, with the program continuing to support thousands of local jobs

Let’s prepare: Perth’s biggest public transport shutdown coming

  • Thornlie-Cockburn Link construction means closures to Mandurah train line from late December
  • Line to be closed between Aubin Grove and Elizabeth Quay stations for up to 25 days
  • Reduced train services to run between Mandurah and Aubin Grove stations
  • Preparation now under way with commuters urged to have their say on disruptions
  • Public awareness campaign will be rolled out in the lead up to the disruption period
