Jack Brommel

Title: The Rhythm of Yanchep

Artist/s: Jack Brommel

Year: 2023

Site: Yanchep Station

Location Detail: Artwork has been applied to the station walls flanking the platforms.

Medium: Acrylic paint

Description:

Yanchep is incredibly rich in a diverse range of flora and fauna, some of it being specifically unique to the area. From it’s underwater reefs and lagoons to its coastal plains, limestone cliffs, banksia forests, wetlands, and Tuart plantations. It is a place of almost dreamlike natural beauty. Jack Brommel's design consists of a background representing the colours present in the landscape with foreground images of the native wildlife. The poetry running through the mural has been co-written with the local community.
