Possible disruption for Joondalup, Rockingham, Fremantle and CAT bus areas

Transperth is advising there will be some disruption to buses in the northern and southern suburbs as well as Perth CATs tomorrow and on Friday (October 18 and 19).

Transperth bus contractor Transdev has advised that some bus drivers intend to engage in two four-hour work stoppages at the following times;

Thursday October 18 - 9.30am to 1.30pm
Friday October 19 – 3pm to 7pm

Transdev operates services in the Fremantle, Joondalup and Rockingham contract areas. It also runs the Perth, Joondalup and Fremantle CAT services.

As a result, Transperth is advising passengers to make alternative arrangements or allow extra time for their journey at those times.

The full list of services that may be impacted is available on the Transperth website.

All school special services, as well as those regular services that deviate to schools are not expected to be affected on either day.

Fans going to the Taylor Swift concert are advised that services to and from this event will be unaffected by this action.

In the Perth CBD the Blue and Green CATs may not operate, but Red and Yellow CATs will continue to run.

Transdev employs about 1000 bus drivers of a total of about 2500 around the metropolitan area.

Up to 20 per cent of Transdev drivers participated in work bans on Thursday and Friday of last week.
