Free public transport for Telethon Festival

The State Government has thrown its support behind the Telethon Family Festival in the Perth CBD, announcing free public transport will be provided across the network to get people to and from the event.

This year marks the second time the Telethon Family Festival has been hosted in the CBD, with the inaugural event last year delivering a carnival-like atmosphere to Wellington Street.

This year's event is being held in the Perth CBD on Sunday, October 22, between 10am and 4pm.

As part of the festival, Wellington Street will be closed between Elder Street and William Street with live music, roving entertainment, community performances, food trucks and plenty of other entertainment for families to enjoy.

The State Government, through Main Roads, will also be providing traffic management on the day, in coordination with the City of Perth.
