Artist/s Statement:
Seventh Road is a vibrant reflection of Armadale’s landscape. Drawing from the vertical lines of Sheoak, Wandoo, Jarrah, and Marri trees, the mural features linear strips that evoke the verticality and rhythm of the landscape. This approach creates a cohesive aesthetic that bridges the site’s built and natural features.
The artwork integrates student designs developed during workshops with Armadale Senior High School. These contributions bring a rich diversity of expression to the mural, injecting youthful energy while fostering ownership and pride among students and the wider community.
Serving as a symbolic gateway between city and country, the artwork stands as a lasting expression of place, identity, and community spirit.
