Kiosk vendors wanted for new Airport Line stations
- Call for expressions of interest in running kiosks at High Wycombe and Redcliffe stations
- Open to range of business types with five-year lease on offer
- EOI period closes on December 2
Small businesses have the chance to be part of the daily bustle of Perth's new Airport Line with expressions of interest now open for potential operators of kiosks at Redcliffe and High Wycombe stations.
Foot traffic at both stations is expected to be in the thousands by 2031, while broader planning to establish new community and development outcomes in the precincts around each of the stations will further improve the kiosks' catchment.
Similar single-tenancy arrangements are already in place across the rail network with Perth and Elizabeth Quay stations home to multiple businesses such as convenience stores, hairdressers, and general retail.
About 40sqm of space is available at High Wycombe Station and 35.5sqm at Redcliffe. Applicants will need to have previous retail experience and show financial stability.
The six-week EOI period will close on December 2.
Comments attributed to Transport Minister Rita Saffioti:
"Redcliffe and High Wycombe stations have been designed with these kiosk spaces, both for the convenience of our commuters and to give small businesses the opportunity to take advantage of the high foot traffic.
"This opportunity is open to the retail market such as newsagencies, convenience stores or any type of retail business that does not require on-site cooking and that would thrive in this prominent environment."
