Work will soon begin at Mends Street Jetty to improve accessibility for passengers across the network.
In accordance with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) 1992, a range of work will be carried out to improve access to Transperth ferry services at Mends Street Jetty for all passengers, regardless of their mobility requirements.
The work includes
- Construction of a new pedestrian ramp connected to a floating boarding platform
- Installation, of passenger gates to control passenger boarding and alighting movements
- Improved weather protection.
Construction will begin on Monday, October 24, 2022, and take approximately six weeks to complete.
