Description:

The series of artworks wrapping the Morley Station car park are a modern-retro look at Morley’s historical pathways and multicultural present. Morley is spelt out in bold lettering referencing the iconic Morley Market signage, intertwined with images of edible plants (Curry Leaf trees, Bananas, Olives, Paw-Paw trees) that feature throughout the screens and represent the impact that Morley's multicultural residents have had on the environment and culture. Iconic Morley sites and experiences are referenced including the Boans department store, Galleria, Wirrina drive-in theatre, Morley Rollerdrome, the Morley seal sculpture, the last Blockbuster, and Coventry Village, alongside historical images of Morley residents from the State Archives and personal collections.
