Train services back to normal

Train services on the Mandurah Line are returning to normal.

The first through trains left Cockburn Central for Perth at 7.45am.  Trains started running from Perth through to Cockburn soon after that.

There will still be significant delays to trains leaving Mandurah through until after 9am, but services should return to normal soon after that.  Earlier, services between Cockburn Central and Perth were operated by replacement buses, while trains ran between Mandurah and Cockburn.

This followed an incident late last night in which the trains’ overhead power lines were damaged between Canning Bridge and Bull Creek.
