Construction of an additional high level platform at Merredin Station

Project Overview

From Monday 2 September 2024, works will begin to add a high-level platform to Merredin Station.

The works will see the replacement of the existing low-level platform with a raised platform compliant with Disability and Discrimination Act (DDA) standards.

The new high-level platform will ensure that when both Prospector trains arrive at the station passengers have an accessible way to board and alight the services.

To allow for the high-level platform, it is necessary to close the pedestrian level crossing immediately east of the station.

The level crossing will close on Monday 9 September.

The project is expected to be complete in late 2024.
