Bus driver traffic infringements

Safety is the PTA’s number one priority. There is no excuse for breaking the law. Bus drivers who are infringed for road offences are responsible for paying the fines themselves, and must also incur any accompanying demerit points on their personal driver’s licenses. They may also be subject to the relevant bus company’s internal disciplinary processes.

*Kms travelled includes a 25 per cent allowance (on top of in-service kilometres) for dead running, when the bus is out of service, being driven to and from the depot.
