Transperth at a glance

  • Total boardings rose 3.3 per cent to 135.975 million.
  • PSM showed that 84.4 per cent of our customers across the system are happy with the quality of Transperth services
  • OTR improved for ferry services (99.2 per cent) but slipped slightly for buses (85.1 per cent) and trains (95.7 per cent).

  • Daytime safety perceptions were in the high 90s (per cent) on board and at the stop or station; night figures were better than 2009-10 at 73 and 72 per cent (bus and train, respectively) at the stop/station and 82 and 76 per cent on board.
  • Seniors and pensioners made 7.642 million off-peak free journeys, five per cent more than in 2009-10 - this is a much faster growth rate than overall patronage’s 3.3 per cent.

  • Moved to rationalise railcar maintenance and cleaning work and selected EDI Rail-Bombardier Transportation (Maintenance) Pty Ltd as preferred tenderer for a 7.5 plus 7.5-year contract.
