The $609 million Perth City Link Transport Project received funding from three tiers of government - $336m from the State, $236m from the Commonwealth (for the rail project) and $37m from the City of Perth
A $26m program of forward works for the rail project was undertaken
The Perth City Link Rail Alliance, consisting of the PTA, John Holland Pty Ltd and GHD Pty Ltd, was formed to deliver the $360m rail project by mid-2014
The Alliance moved into its own office on Wellington Street
An independent study found that the best model to deliver the bus station component of the project was a traditional design and construct form of contract rather than a Public Private Partnership
Work started on a review of the Bus Project Master Plan
Contracts were let for the construction of three road-over-rail bridges and a range of design and project management activities and bulk earthworks for the Butler Extension Project
