Student Presenter "Between the Lines" Web Series

Right Track seeks to engage with young people through programs that work to their interests and offer a collaborative way to build skills and impart targeted safety messages. Through this student presenter web series project we offer young people a chance to get involved and have their voice heard about issues that impact them. There will be two parts to the program.

The first part will be an audition process in term 4 2018. Young people will be invited to film a short one minute film, telling us about themselves and what interests them. They will then need to have the consent form signed by their parent or guardian and upload their film to You Tube. They can then email the link to the film to therighttrack@pta.wa.gov.au by 5pm December 12 2018. The audition tapes will be reviewed and the winner will be notified via return email. The winner must be available to film the series in term 1 2019.

**UPDATE - Congratulations to Nicola Kinnane and Sebastian Tondut who have been awarded the roles of Student Presenters for the web series! With school consultations and filming due to start in March it is sure to be an exciting time for the presenters. Stay tuned to the Stay off the Tracks facebook page for further updates.

The second part of the program will be the research, consultation and filming aspect. The winner of the audition process will have the opportunity to build their facilitation and presentation skills by going to local schools in their area and finding out what the issues are that face young people on public transport and sharing information about the program. In collaboration with PTA the different aspects of trespass and safety will be discovered and the scripts will be written. The final part of the process will be the filming and post production of each short film which will then be released on social media. The local schools will also be offered a screening of the films as a way of showing the students that their opinions were incorporated. The young person chosen for the main reporter part will win a Go Pro.

In order to enter the audition process a consent form must be signed by a parent or guardian. Download the form here.

By submitting your film to the audition process, you agree to these terms and conditions.
