Right Track has been educating young people on doing the right thing on and around public transport through a series of film workshops. We want to remind young people in particular about the potentially devastating consequences of being irresponsible and unsafe around the railway, and who better to do this than young people themselves.
The film workshops have been run with students from Yule Brook College and Governor Stirling Senior High School. Sam from Periscope Pictures has been upskiling the students in film techniques and supporting them to film and produce short films for social media based around the theme of rail safety. Through the process of engaging in the workshops the students are exposed to, and encouraged to problem solve various aspects of rail safety.
The resulting films will be released on social media platforms where the students will have the opportunity to share the films to their friends.
