Rail Safety lessons Hip Hop style!

Monday, 12 October 2015

As part of Community Safety Month 2015, the first of four Right Track Hip Hop nights took place on Friday 9 October at Save the Children’s One Step Closer program in Armadale, WA.

'Health and Safety’ was the theme of the evening and one of our very own Transit Officers, Lawrence Hoxey, came along to get the conversation started about rail safety and the role of a Public Transport Authority Transit Officer. As well as working as a Transit Officer, Lawrence is also a recording artist, song writer and rapper producer and used his skills to not only talk but rap to the young people in Armadale to get those rail safety messages across. The night also ended with a freestyle performance!

Over the next two Friday evenings Lawrence will work with the young people in group workshops with a Hip Hop performance scheduled to end Community Safety Month on Friday 30 October.

Keep an eye on our Facebook and Twitter pages for more photos over the coming weeks.
