Six community sessions – taking place over a three-week period – were completed this month across the new rail line route. From Kalamunda to Bayswater, Forrestfield-Airport Link project staff spoke to over 300 community members to give them more detailed information and a project walk-through.
This month also saw the start of a series of geotechnical and ground water studies to determine the underground conditions where the tunnels will be located. The work by Golder Associates also assessed possible impacts on nearby facilities and options for reuse of significant quantities of excavated soil.
