May 2017 update

Works are now underway across all four major construction sites to prepare for the start of tunnelling. At Forrestfield, our busiest site, excavation of the dive structure is progressing well and in the coming weeks will reach a depth of 14m.

Dewatering fact sheet

Dewatering involves temporarily lowering the water table to allow soil to be excavated from a work site without it refilling with water. This process will be used in construction of the project's underground station boxes and portals.

June 2017 update

Things are heating up on the project this month as we draw closer to the start of tunnelling. The first of our tunnel boring machines has arrived and is being assembled onsite at Forrestfield.
