WCE vs SYD transport wrap

Transperth cleared the stadium precinct after this afternoon’s game in less than 60 minutes.

Some key bus routes were heavily patronised on both inbound and outbound journeys. Route 650 from Karrinyup via Innaloo was particularly busy - 20 additional buses were allocated to collect passengers. Despite some delays, all made it to the venue before the start time.

Special event trains on the Fremantle and Joondalup Lines were also heavily patronised with some minor delays both before and after the game.

The train and bus stations largely cleared by 7.50pm (50 minutes after the final siren).

The unfinished Matagarup pedestrian bridge - which has been designed to move 25 per cent of a capacity crowd away from the venue - remains under construction resulting in more fans using train services than originally planned.

Transperth will continue to adjust bus and train patterns as fans establish their travel patterns for Eagles and Dockers games.
